Houston Chronicle article about the Energy Summit we attended in Houston

The Energy Summit was organized by the World Affairs Council of Houston and brought a bunch of high school kids in to learn about the energy industry. The students were also put in the roles of Secretary of Energy, Defense, Commerce, etc. to see how they would respond to an energy crisis scenario in which European natural gas and oil pipellines and an oil tanker were destroyed by terrorists.

I helped out as an “energy expert” and as a judge of the poster competition and scenario responses. Check out yours truly in the second picture.

I study energy, technology, and policy issues at UT. I currently live and work in D.C. You can email and follow me or check out my photos on flickr. I want to be a ghostbuster when I grow up.
